This website was created by the Portland Veteran Firemen's Association (PVFA) to give everyone access to the history, names and stories from one of the earliest fire departments in America. The Portland Fire Department is over 250 years old, and its members past and present carry forward a proud history of bravery, public service and tradition. The PVFA hopes you enjoy these archives and all its facts and information, some of which date back to before the birth of our nation.
